A wedding to remember!

It has been a few years, but I will never forget the wedding cake that traveled by boat. It was quite the adventure for my hubby and I. With cakes baked and all my decorating supplies packed, we traveled two and a half hours from our home in Michigan to Mackinaw City. We arrived at the Sheplers dock, loaded the cake onto the boat and traveled another 20 minutes to Mackinaw Island. Once we arrived on the island we loaded the cake, supplies and our luggage onto a horse drawn carriage and headed to Mission Point Resort. Yes, I said horse drawn carriage. No cars are allowed on the island, well except for emergency vehicles.
It was a beautiful setting for the wedding and reception. The bride requested a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream icing. Her father made the beautiful board the cake was placed on. Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Fairbanks for letting me be apart of your special day!
Let's Celebrate Graduation Day
What an exciting time in a young adults life......graduating from high school or college. It has been a joy to designs cakes for graduates that bring out their interests and style. These are some I have designed in the past few years.

Stocker's 40th Anniversary
In 2007, my husband was laid off from his job and was not able to find work in Michigan. We prayed and asked the Lord for direction, and He lead us to Georgia. We love Georgia and our new church, but there will always be a special place in our heart for our home church back in Michigan.

We love Georgia and our new church, but there will always be a special place in our heart for our home church back in Michigan. It was an honor to be able to fly to Michigan this summer to help with the anniversay celebration the church was planning for Pastor Joel and Donna. They are the senior pastor's at the church my family has attended for over 20 years.
These are the pictures of the cake and desserts I did for the celebration. My goal was to try to make the cake as close to their wedding cake as possible. I was very pleased with the end result! Thank you CCC, for letting me be apart of this special day!

Where's my luggage???
This was a cake I designed for a pastor at our church. A group from our church traveled to Haiti to do some ministry work and poor PJ's luggage didn't arrive when he did. The team contacted me and asked if I could design a cake for his birthday that looked like a suitcase, in honor of the lost luggage. I think it was a birthday (and trip) PJ will never forget.
Jonny and Sommer's Wedding

Sommer had asked for her cake to be chocolate with chocolate buttercream icing. Johnny's cake was carrot cake with cream cheese icing. I incorporated chocolate twigs and gumpaste apples into the design of the cakes, to tie in with the table centerpieces.

These pictures bring back such great memories. I was asked to make the wedding cake and desserts for Johnny and Sommers wedding. The wedding and reception were at Puritan Mill, downtown Atlanta.

After the dinner buffet, guests were pleastantly surprised by the dessert buffet. Some of the desserts we  prepared were chocolate covered oreos,
cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, cheesecake lollipops and russian teacakes.
